SBS Slammer’s I Series to power NYC’s Nowadays Venue • Nightlife Sound Is All About Analogue Nowadays.
New York City, NY, USA — April 18, 2017, Craig Bernabeu, Chief Audio Engineer of SBS Designs & The SBS Slammer announced that construction has begun on a high fidelity, fully analogue sound system to power the dance floor of Nowadays’ permanent venue in New York City, slated to open by late Spring.
“I am outfitting Nowadays top to bottom with a custom-designed I Series SBS Slammer based on an system I built for Lotus Nightclub in Hawaii,” said Craig Bernabeu. “Nowadays’DJs have acoustically treated the new venue for stellar sound and optimal conditions for enjoying music.” Music producer/DJ heavyweights like Bruce Forest (Madonna), Professor of Music Technology Dr. Antonio Hyder (Stanford University), and Pioneer Pro Sound & Visual Division’s Masanori Nishikawa have called the SBS Slammer the finest nightclub sound in the world.
The critical acclaim for Bernabeu’s analogue sound system at The SBS Slammer’s North American Showroom at Analog BKNY, which opened in April 2016, has cast a wide spotlight on the quality of analogue sound. Virtually every nightclub of repute in the world is powered by mass-manufactured digital components. Bernabeu explains, “Analogue Sound in 2017 is ideal for venues concerned not just about their patron’s experience enjoying music but likewise about preventing long-term damage to their patrons’ ears.”
